LAGOS -
The 2013 Headies Awards has been announced, with Olamide looking to
win big, while the Mavin Records first lady falls short of the list
The 2013 Headies Awards have been made public, and Indigenous rapper, Olamide, leads the nomination count with mentions in 8 categories. The indigenous rapper is followed by Pop singer, Davido, with 5 nominations, while Iyanya has 4.
New comers, Seyi Shay, Orezi, and Sean Tizzle are also in the running for the awards, with Burna Boy looking the favorite for the ‘Next Rated Artiste’.
As with most Nomination Lists, this year’s Headies has thrown up its controversial omission, as Pop diva, Tiwa Savage,
who has had a stellar year (with the success of her ‘Once Upon A Time’
album), totally ignored. The Mavin Records’ singer didn’t make the cut
in any of the categories.
